Hello there. Thanks for taking a peek into what I’m about. I am a fun-loving, adventure seeking, lots-of-laughs type of human. I was born and raised in Indiana and am likely never leaving San Diego. Indiana is a good place to be from (ha ha). Being from Indiana means a strong work ethic and extreme kindness. The Midwest produces many “people-pleasers” so I’ve done my own work on managing that trait. However, you will find a warmth and extreme kindness and understanding when working with me; NEVER any judgement as we are all on this journey doing the best we can and trying to grow out of our life’s lessons.
It is without a doubt that I am not your typical psychologist. I wear my hair in long blonde (clean) dreadlocks and am not very corporate in my appearance. PB PSYCHOLOGY is my solo private practice, which is fitting for me because PB is a laid back beach town with a super-chill vibe, which matches my personality.
In my personal life, I am a professional roller skater (not roller derby, but roller dance). I enjoy an active lifestyle and will likely have my beach cruiser and/or roller skates in my office. As a health psychologist, I am big into fitness and am a NASM-certified personal trainer (although I never pursued it in regards to having clients, I just wanted the knowledge). I have two small dogs; a hairless Chinese crested and a terrier/Italian greyhound mix rescue.
I am very passionate about my work. I did not come from a rich or even functional upbringing. I have also experienced many challenges that life has to offer and have, at this point, worked with thousands of patients so I have extensive experience and exposure to different types of clients (grateful). I look forward to working with you to help you manage the situation you are currently in and offer support/treatment to better your life.
NOTE: Currently working on an updated picture and an intro video so you can better catch my vibe. 🙂
